The guy at Bean About Town, the coffee stall in the little plaza at Kentish Town Station had asked me to 'bring a guitar' today, so I did. Played a couple of pieces by Barrios, some Bach lute pieces and a version of 'Here Comes the Sun' -and there was some interest and applause, with people stopping to listen in spite of the loud street ambient ( Read more... )

Went to Mario's café here down Kentish Town Road, was going to just put one of my guitar lesson flyers on their board; had a fruit juice and started conversation, commenting on the week, mention expensive car disaster and, as compensation, was going to mention the concert, "you know Pink Floyd-The Wall..." and Mario says "Woot, did you go? At the Map Music cafe in Kentish Town, with an old gentleman providing gentle live music on a keyboard, a nice veggie lasagne and salad (the salad was better than the lasagna, can't believe I said that), a lovely gentle atmosphere while it drizzles outside.

Ok, the heaviest bit of the week over now. The getting up at six and being on the M1 at 7 is getting heavier all the time -is it possible that I may be getting older?.
